WAVE was a year long branding identity project for a subculture. I focused in on the music and aesthetic drive subculture, Vaporwave. Playing with 80s themes, machinery, and color schemes I created a brand that brought the “New” to the WAVE.
When I first started production I knew that I wanted to play off the retro style of Vaporwave, so I focused in on old school technology and scanning distortions.
A couple more iterations later I came up with my solidify brand. Just as colorful, but a good mix of modern and retro.
